River Severn and River Vyrnwy Confluence Environmental Assessment Survey, 1994. For the National Rivers Authority.

1996, 1997 & 1998. Annual survey of breeding Skylark and Meadow Pipits on eight 1km transects on the Long Mynd plateau. Baseline for future monitoring of populations following changes in sheep stocking rates and consequent habitat change. See also 2002-2004 and 2006.

Wall Farm, Kynnersley on the Weald Moors in Shropshire, 1998. Breeding birds in 1998. For the Environment Agency. The site is part of a major habitat recreation scheme under the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

The Beckmoors, Wroxeter, Shropshire. An ornithological Survey November 1998 - June 1999. A report for the Environment Agency prior to the site’s entry into the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

Lower Brompton Farm, Cross Houses adjacent to the River Severn in Shropshire. Breeding birds in 2000 with notes on the potential re-wetting land management. Report for the National Trust. A report prior to the site’s entry into Countryside Stewardship Scheme.

Breeding waders; Lapwing and Curlew on the Severn-Vyrnwy confluence floodplain, Shropshire, 2002. A report for the Severn Vyrnwy Land Management Initiative, Countryside Agency.

The breeding birds of Rectory Wood, Church Stretton, 2004. Report for the Rectory Wood and Fields Interest Group. Very high densities of woodland birds found, the result of the relatively small wood having a high edge-effect.

Breeding Meadow Pipit and Skylark populations on the Long Mynd, Shropshire; are their population sizes changing? 2006. A report examining the two data sets (1996–98 & 2002–04, above) for evidence of population changes.

Breeding Birds of Mose & Sandymose Farms, Dudmaston, 2002–04. CBC-style baseline work at start of 10-year Arable Strewardship scheme. For the National Trust. Scheduled for re-survey 2009–11, the last three years of the ten-year scheme.

Pen-yr-Estyn Moss, Rednall, Shropshire. The birds of winter 2005-06 and the breeding birds of 2006 with observations on site management. For the Environment Agency.

Community Commons Project Bird Survey Summer (June) 2008. Surveys of the CCP project’s twelve commons in Herefordshire, estimates of total populations, remarks on past and future management and an examination of the ecological succession trends shown by the suite of sites.

Hopesay Parish Plan 2009. Writing the 9,000 word text for the Hopesay Parish Plan for the Parish Plan Group and based on the findings of the parish questionnaire.
